As I could remember, when I look up, I always see them.
First I noticed of their presences was when I went to church retreat at Puncak. At our last night, I sat down on the grass meanwhile waiting for the rest to set up the BBQ fire. I saw these shining things on the sky. It brought a deep impression to me as they shined brightly and in one row. They just caught up my attention.
1And I don’t know since when I’ve grown with this habit. Whenever I feel troubled or want to take some time to be alone to think out of something, I like to stroll alone in the night or on motorcycle with my friend, just unwind with the windblow and the silence of the night. I looked up to the sky and I noticed again and again they are there. Then I started to know, I can see them in the sky no matter where ever I go. I really don’t know why they are there. But I feel happy to see them. I feel amazed of them. Like a kid, huh. But, that’s the truth. :)
It’s been years and years…since 1999 if I were not wrong, I like to see them but I never ever curious to find out if there is a name for them. It’s only when I went to Bintan with a group of my friends few months ago, and when the night came, I looked up to the sky again…and…oh my God…the night sky was truly beauty. The whole sky as far as my eyes can see, it’s fulled with stars! That’s my first time to see such night sky!
Then I suddenly heard one of my friend said, “That’s the Orion”.
I looked to the direction where my friend pointing at. And….that’s the stars that I’ve been loving to see all these time! So, they have the name? Oh my, now then I feel stupid of myself. :p It must be very famous. Why I don’t even know about it? How could I miss it!
Now I know how to call them..
A three bright stars in a row.
“It is Orion…”
You should have ever seen them. When there is clear night sky, especially after rain. Just looked up and you will find them. :)
[It is well-known as Orion’s Belt or The Belt Orion].
