There was once I went to Bali with my family and friends and we decided to stay in a villa instead of hotel. We were introduced to this villa called Desamuda Village in Seminyak, suburb of Kuta.
When we reached there, it’s already night time and at that point of time and as I remember, there were many restaurants, boutiques, cafes along the streets. Yes, Kuta is the right place for nightlife.
Desamuda Village is not a new villa in the region as you may see from the photos. But regardless of the age, I pretty like the ambience of the place. Natural, peaceful and quite. Remember, it is located in the middle of busy Kuta but yet we can still find peaceful in this place.
Villa & Facilities
The villa has Balinese style touch I can say. Pillars and walls made from natural wood and stone with some carvings, brought me to a different kind of atmosphere. We booked 3 bedrooms villa where we have our own kitchen and common hall as well as private jacuzzi and swimming pool!
Pardon for the mess. :) Here was the dining room and further back is the common hall.
And our private jacuzzi and swimming pool.
The private pool was not big and less than 1.5m depth but it was good enough for relaxing and doing some exercise. :) If we want to swim in a bigger pool, there was a bigger pool at the common area.
Besides that, what I found more interesting was the roofless bathroom. Somehow I felt insecure but well it was alright. I like the natural touch for the flooring. :D
Toilet was in a separated room but still in the bathroom area.
The bedroom is fully air-conditioned any quite spacious. There were 1 bedroom on first floor and 2 bedrooms on the second floor.
Food & Dining Area
Desamuda Village has its own restaurant called The Rice Table. There is The Rice Table restaurant in Singapore, too. At first, I thought it was just a coincidence, but after I checked their website, both should be under same company cause their name and logo are same.
Breakfast was served in buffet style. Although there was not many choices but overall the food was good.
That was my Dad enjoying tea after breakfast and I suppose that was one big banana tree on the right photo?
What do you think? Will you consider staying in this villa? Let me know your opinion. :)
